Of environmental impact, 80% is determined at the design phase. Yet designers have no way to understand the impacts of their design choices. To enable such calculations to happen, Manufacturing Data Model offers promising opportunities for sustainability partners to use and enable impact analysis. In this presentation, we'll walk you through how ProtoTech Solutions and SimaPro used the new functionalities of the Manufacturing Data Model APIs to ease the extraction of critical data for impact calculations like user's design (component) information (last modified, version number, name, id, and so on), and bring the results information into the design using Manufacturing Data Model writeback custom properties capability. Overall, this presentation will showcase how Manufacturing Data Model is helping automate sustainability workflows for partners and customers.

In this session, we'll introduce GraphQL and explore how it is being used to deliver the promise of "granular" data. As you have heard before, Autodesk is investing heavily in cloud data with Autodesk Fusion (manufacturing), Autodesk Forma [architecture, engineering, and construction; building information modeling (BIM)], and Autodesk Flow (media and entertainment) industry groups. At the center is also the Data Exchange API that allows data to be shared in a specific and durable way. From authoring to access, this class will explain the details about each software system, and how to use the GraphQL API to access the data. We'll also cover the fact that data can easily be accessed across each of the information models, and via Data Exchange.

Sustainability is slowly but surely climbing up on the priority list of many of our customers, and Autodesk has already created several products that can enable and enhance their sustainability workflows. Traditionally, these solutions are mostly point-to-point integrations that rely heavily on third-party data sets. In order to support the growing demand for scalable sustainability solutions, we've built a new Sustainability Data API on Autodesk Platform Services that enables rapid third-party data set integrations.
